I want to be Abbi Glines when I grow up...Happy birthday, sweetie!

When I grow up, I want to be just like Abbi Glines. Don't know who she is? Have you been living under a rock the past few years or if contemporary romance/YA/NA isn't your bag then it makes sense but if you are familiar with these genres then you know who Ms. Glines is and today is Abbi's birthday.

I always appreciate real American dream stories like hers and not about some snot-nosed rich kid who had a silver spoon anyway and managed to get luckier than life already made them. She is fun, feisty and has written over half a dozen books about life, relationships and drama.

What makes her so special is she doesn't try to be anything she's not and I can appreciate that in a person. I also admire her tenacity to get the job done, her hard work and yes, her work ethic. The great thing about being an indie writer is we can write as many (or as few) books per years as we want. And yes, I know some of her work is now traditionally published  now but she remains an indie writer at heart with kickass covers, sexy storylines and characters people can relate to.

So, Abbi, from the bottom of my heart, happy birthday and good luck with Twisted Perfection coming out on April 23, my sister's birthday. :-)
